When I see those babies delighting in the magic of Christmas, this is what comes to mind….
Jesus, help me to never let them down.
Protect their innocence for as long as possible, and may they never lose that childlike-fascination with all the good You have created.
And, please help me to remember again…
How beautiful this life is..
With all its twinkling lights, moments of belly laughter & meals with loved ones.
Help me to see You as You are
to know Your goodness
and to forever & ever be captivated by Your beauty.
Help me to enjoy You in the good moments, and cling to You in the bad.
Give me a desire for you that brings out the wonder of a child in me….
A passion for the mysteries that are found in You.
And a thrill at Your Word.
And show me how to share all of that with them.
May we never grow tired of seeking Your face.
May we never forget the wonder of Your grace.
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.”
Psalm 27:4 (ESV)
“That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection…”
Philippians 3:10 (KJV)
