"Conservation in Color" - Tom Turkey Watercolor Painting

Conservation in Color is a 27"x33" watercolor painting done on 100% cotton paper & stretched over a wooden stretching frame.  High-quality pigments were used, and I always wax my originals so that the painting is protected without the need for glass!

This painting is unframed, but a custom, handmade frame (similar to one demonstrated in photos) can be added for an additional charge.  Message me!

I painted "Conservation in Color" this year in 2025, and it is my first attempt at painting (or even learning about) the beautiful Tom Turkey. 

A painting of this size generally takes me three to four attempts, and this one was no exception!  While he was challenging, his personality & characteristics proved fascinating reasons to thoroughly enjoy painting this beautiful work of God's creation! 

I love his vibrant colors & the details in his face, and I did my best to capture both his beauty & his quirks.
