Sorghum Fields - Pheasant Painting
Sorghum Fields is a 22x37 watercolor painting done on 100% cotton paper stretched over a wooden frame. High-quality pigments were used, and the painting has been waxed in order to protect it without the need for glass.
This painting is unframed, but a custom frame can be added for an additional charge. Message me!
Sorghum Fields was painted in 2024 when I had all things Pheasants on the brain.
While this painting was not a part of my work with Pheasants Forever, I enjoyed spending time doing something a little different on this one...just for fun.
The challenge of painting the birds is rewarding, but the sorghum fields and wagon wheel were especially enjoyable in this painting! I love the soft washes and shape of the wheel in contrast with the sharp lines of the sorghum.
Watercolor & its many complexities never cease to thrill & amaze me!
One of my greatest passions in art is telling beautiful stories in magical & creative ways.
When we work together on a custom piece, I take the time to get to know you & your story in order to find unique ways to paint it.
Message me about working together for a custom piece that uses the magic of watercolor to tell your story.
