Not what I had planned...

This little guy wasn't meant to look anything like this.
He would have neat lines & square corners.
His background would be clean & soft.
His feathers less messy...

But, then isn't that the way life is?
Far less straight in the corners, and way more messy than we had envisioned.

"But God..."

My favorite saying in Scripture, and the one I cling to when life takes the unplanned route.

This bird reminds me of those seasons in life.
He reminds me of my whole entire story, to be honest.

And how God makes beauty out of ashes...
as well as the unplanned.
