Hopeful Expectations

This spontaneous little bird was painted after a very dry season where I was feeling all the "I don't care" feelings and none of the artistic ones. 

But I sat down to paint anyway.

His simplicity, the way he's just living in his moment, and his curiosity about all the things around him...

I don't know, it just makes my heart kinda happy for him.

And makes me want to do the same.
