When I'm painting a home, I'm taking something flat
like a sheet of cotton paper,
and I'm giving it dimension.
I'm creating depth
and shape.
Shadow and light.
I'm choosing colors that best represent the home,
and I'm usually highlighting its best and most lovely features.
However, it doesn't really matter if the house is in good condition,
or poor.
It isn't always about the
upkeep, or even the condition of the roof or lawn.
I can fix all of that with my brush, if you like.
It really is up to you.
The owner of the home, and its story.
And if I do my job well, you may be able to see past the walls and the windows
to the story inside the home.
That piece of time on this earth that you & yours live in this particular home
and combine a bit of its history
with a bit of yours.
I'm telling the story for you.
But truly, you are the one writing it.
So, that begs the question....
What story are you writing?
"For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God."
Hebrews 3:4 (ESV)
I take a few commissions a year, and usually have a waiting list, but it doesn't hurt to ask! Reach out to see about having a custom painting done of your home, or the home of a loved one.
